I think she'll definitely lose if she does the turtle defense against Cyborg. Very bad gameplan   If she loses this way, then remember: its your fault that you jinxed her.

hahaha, i didnt mean for her to do a "turtle" defense.I think that gina should jump from the top of the cage with a flying dropkick and knock cyborg out.

Alright, I just got home from the Strikeforce San Jose fight and it was rad!  No fights went the distance, not even the prelims.

The best part, Gina was there!  I am so freaking stoked from seeing her in person.  Even though I wasnt close it still was awesome just to see her in the same area as me.

After Cyborg KO'd Akano of course they asked her about Gina and the arena camera kept showing Gina.  Cyborg definitely wants to fight her but she said she also wants to be the women's champion as well.  So she definitely has her eye on the big prize.

Now that I've seen Cyborg fight live I can tell you she did not want to fight on the ground unless she had the obvious advantage.  She had Akano down a few times but never really went for anything significant to end the fight or hurt Akano.  The crowd booed a few times because she'd put Akano down but let her get back up.  It seems she likes to stand up and strike which means Gina is going to have to be at her best striking against her.  It also leaves an opening for Gina to really get her ground game sharpened if Cyborg really doesnt like to ground fight.  I will have to look at more of Cyborg's fights but as it stands now, in my opinion, Gina can and probably will beat her.  I'm being as impartial as I can about this but seeing a live fight tells you much about someone.

My other thought is that Cyborg didnt want to show too much ground game with Gina at ringside.  However, Akano's strength was on the ground so it could be she wanted to avoid it altogether for this fight.  Why play to an opponent's strength, right?  Gina and Cyborg are both strikers so my gut tells me it may come down to who gets an opening on the ground.  For this, I am really happy Gina has been training with Randy Couture.

Damn krav your one lucky dude you seen gina and she was really BEAUTIFUL  saw the fight via live stream ,justin.tv, santos and gina are ready for each other all they need is the ring!!!!! I agree that the turning point will be on the ground

Aw Krav, you got to see Gina! I'm jealous, LOL! I wish I could have watched the fight. My internet is so slow lately that I can't watch anything online.
