I can't remotely relate...

just continue to be honest with yourself and be safe that way. Get a partner to go with and be candid with him/her and the instructor, and that's after making sure with your physician that this is ok and continues to be. Then, I guess all fears from then on will be somewhat irrational, but still yours to contend with. Good luck

However, I am *still* in agony this morning lol!  My left shoulder muscles and right calf are sore.  I prb won't be able to go again 'til Wednesday, which is a pity.  But it's also the price I pay for being so badly out of shape in the first place.  Anyway, it's a *good* kinda pain.

I would love to hear that you went and stuck it out.  I am going because, yes, Gina inspired me - but also because I hate regular gym work.  I grew up a very quiet guy, not particularly physical - and I never experienced the competitive side in me until I started going to the gym years ago.  Back then I had friends I went with, and I found myself competing with them!  Now we've all drifted (geographically), I had nobody to train with.  So along comes Muay Thai via Gina, and suddenly I found myself thinking "Yeah, I could try that!".  It took me a while (thanks, in part, to having a bad knee which still hasn't healed fully), but here I am.

I bet after the gym u will hit the bed like a brick! :D Yeah u should probably wait until your shoulder gets better before u go, your body already have taken a lot of presure for a first day class! Dont push your limits Eoin, easy you have all the time in the world, besides your body is at awakening process, don't be to hard on it. Im so glad u like it!!! I ll wait until Wednesday to hear from you details about the practice :)
My back also hurts damm it, i did a heavy job,i was carying pieces of a tree we recently cut from our yard ... so i m not goanna go also tommorow to practice, i feel like something is broken in my back...
have you started some diet? whenever i exersice i want to eat a everything i see, seems like my hunger gets bigger. How u deal with that?

It was in the morning to early afternoon, so I wasn't too bad.  I was still warm when I went to bed that night, though o.O   Yeah I'll wait 'til tomorrow or Wednesday I think... both days are sparring classes this week, so that should be interesting lol!

Diet-wise, I'm just cutting down on the sh1t I usually eat (candy, sugary drinks, chips), and trying to keep things as lean as possible for dinner.  Nothing too fancy.  I have to try to find to time to start blogging :)
