Jardine had a great showing in this fight, he showed alot of heart and had a good gameplan. I don't think Rampage was expecting such a tough fight from Jardine.
As far as Jackson goes, I'm surprised he still isn't checking leg kicks at all but at least he finally used some of his wrestling. The Jackson that showed up tonight would have lost to Machida.

That being said I'd rather he sit and rest, then fight the winner of Rashad and Machida.

The Carwin and Hamill KO's were great, personally Carwin should have got KO of the night.
Also good to see Vera back on track with a showing of some crushing leg kicks.
Lavinge has some explaining to do regarding his reffing.

Ya the Carwin fight was surprising to me how he managed to turn it around so quick. I don't think it was KO of the night though, it was just a short punch that landed in the right spot; not as impressive as a loud sounding right kick to the head in Hamill's case.

Yves lavignes reffing was inexcusable in that fight. He physically held Matt Brown back and waved it off and then let it continue a few seconds later.

Jardine had a good gameplan and was more careful than in his last few fights. The reach gave him an advantage, but his lack of gas was a real detriment.

Overall it was fairly entertaining card; but not as exciting as the last UFC.

Agreed w/ y'all notes on the fight. Hopefully, Jardine has turned a corner w/ this fight and doesn't lose the next one. Unfortunately, I think its going to be against Forrest Griffin.

I'm betting on Rampage turning down the fight. I believe it'll be his 3rd fight in a 6 months w/ virtually no down time in what should be 3 eight week training camps. Which incidentally, Gina won't have if does that mma celeb/charity appearance < 8 weeks from May.

If he does take it,
despite leg kicks not being in Rashad's arsenal and him gassing in the later stages of his fights I pick Sugar to win by dec. mainly b/c of this quick turnaround affecting Jackson. I think this'l all play out w/ Machida winning ugly (as he does) against Evans in May all while Rampage and Rashad build a rivalry and have their fight eventually. Evans by dec. in that one too.

I feel you guys on Net streaming, wack events especially(i.e UFC in Europe)
For middle tier cards I gotta source that sells em cheap on campus ($10-$15 two or 3 days after the event) its a good reward for a weeks or months hard work and study. I do buy whenever Fedor fights, really stacked cards (UFC 92) and thank goodness for HdNET aka the window to the Japanese fight scene.
