Great fluid fight - I got a suggestion I need Randy and Gina to get!!!!

Hey Great Fight - Loved how fluid you were!! - I can tell you Cyborg has a new respect for you - You had her backing up!!! dont think anyone ever did that before!!! - now - I think - if there is to be a rematch - you should look at something Cyborg was doing that you werent (yeah - I know how easy these things are to see outside the ring) - with about 2 mins left - you were both gassed - she was taking out your legs - and you werent answering with it - I think the leg kicks made a huge difference - I wouldnt try the front kick or any med-high kick on that beast until she's ready to fall.

I don't want to be the bad guy and bring this up but...Cyborg does not have a natural body.  Those are not her muscles, that’s not her jaw, and that is not her neck.  The female body is not able to produce those features.  Yes, I am quite positive she has had some help over the years juicing.  It pains me to say that because I think Cyborg is actually a sweat person.  But I have this thing against cheaters. 

That being said, Gina is a much better fighter and tactician then Cyborg.  The problem was really that it was an unfair match up.  I am going to give Gina some credit here even though this fight was already decided by laws of physics.  Notice the blank stare on Cyborg’s face when she finally got rocked a few times by another woman? Yeah…Cyborg was surprised. 

I would like to see random drug testing all year around done by licensed professionals for all MMA fighters.  It might be pricy, but they owe it to us fans.  Who will be the first Barry Bonds in the MMA?   

Anyway, back to Gina.  As my wife and sister-in-law said, "Gina has balls to be stepping in the octagon to fight another man".   That is exactly what she did tonight.

I have nothing to say against Cris Cyborg. It was a fight well fought.

Gina will come back and fight a man if she has to. She will be stronger after this.

I think it is unfair to take away the credibility of a fair victory for cyborg. She looks unnatural maybe, but to claim she cheats without evidence is something you simply should not do. Cyborg won this fight fair and square. I think Gina was hoping to get through the first round, but with it being 5 mins, that was just too much. Although it was only a second too much

Gina will come back stronger, of course. I hope she doesnt fight a man, she needs to fight a top contender in the division to get another shot at the title in maybe 3 fights or so. Get some more experience in mma, get some more experience on the ground. She'll be fine


As for pablo's suggestion. I agree that Gina didnt throw many kicks at all. I personally love her kicks. Leg kicks mightve been a good idea. I dont know what the game plan was, but it's obviously not easy to stick with it when you have someone like cyborg coming at you at that pace

I agree with you 100% Bas... Sure, at first I was angry and found myself wanting to lash out at Cyborg, but in all honesty, she did nothing wrong, so it's pointless. Well done Cyborg, and Gina you're still #1.

I think all your plans go out the window once you're in the cage. You don't have time to think back to what you wanted to do, and things change once you're in there...

Yes, I know I am the bad guy like I said...but that is still my opinion.  I also know it is wrong to say that many pro wrestlers, body-builders and professional football players do it yet I know some of them do it also.  I guess I read too many muscle magazines growing up and I can spot drug usage where I see it.  The interesting thing about any drug is, if you use it for long enough...it leaves its mark on the body. 
Anyway, enough about Cyborg.  I know that what ever her advantages are, they will soon come crashing down one way or the other.   

I agree that Gina needs to work on her ground-and-pound.  It surprises me that she is not more talented in that area considering that she trains with Randy Couture.  We can blame her superior striking ability for that though.  She reminds me of Anderson Silva in that she is so calculated that she can strike her opponents into oblivion before they get her on the ground.  However Cyborg has a tough noggin.  So yes I would also agree that this is going to change Gina’s strategy ongoing.  I can definitely see a Gina/ Cyborg rematch.  Gina is already on top, and her only objective at this point is that belt.

Drug testing is possibly an answer. But like what is stated previously we can't judge without proof. Both "ladies" fought hard with some big hits however if you don't counter your gonna lose. They were both gassed after the first 3 min of the round. Cardio is king! Ughh just wish it went a different way. I should be the rambling one right now....

I dont know exactly how long Gina has been training with Randy Couture but she can only get better.  Which is kind of scary for her future opponents.

Yeah, and like I mentioned before, Gina can only get better from this point on. She hasn't even begun to scratch the surface of her skill.
