To whomever that got into the Arts or just became fan of the Sport b/c of Gina... Ken Shamrock did for me and now this news.

This is just messed up, y'all.  Did he use while he was a Pro-wrestler? Sure. While he was in the wild days of Pancrase? He says no and I believe him. Just like his "worked matches" there, noone ever layed down for him in any contending matchup, just Ken for others, for the money. He kept his honor and self-respect despite the antics of: self-promotion, denial and an almost career & ability questioning losing streak. The top of the once called "No-Rules" mma game was getting K.O'd and finished by no names and guys who don't K.O anyone. I still had hope; I was still a fan. He was different than others clinging on to past achievement. The thing is the game had changed soo much and all he had to do was get 1 win. 1 win against a decent modern era fighter so he could crossover and transcend the game. Even if that mission failed in the end, noone could take away who he was as a pioneer. He even maintained that in the face of all the insults and calls for retirement. He can't anymore.

I didn't know what to tell ppl when they were messed up over Antonio Margarito, Marion Jones, or even some ppl I don't talk to who were messed up over the Michael Phelps thing (not that its the same) Anyone know what to tell me?

thnx, for right now I realize there are far worse things, such as the sad news of Mask Lewis' death. I'm not really tripped out over it, not nearly as bad as some ppl I mentioned. Its just messed up when I guess you have to reduce someone like that to good they once did and leave it at that.

He was supposed to fight Lashley on the Roy Jones Jr Boxing/MMA hybrid event.

As far as steroids go, you've gotta remember that not all steroids are for "getting ripped", alot of drugs contain portions of steroids and one of the most common uses for steroids in this sport is to help heal from injuries.

As far as Ken goes though, Frank has been saying it for a long while

Both Shamrocks could be called out on lies about each other. All I know is his peers are shocked and Ken's tested clean when fighting 240. Hopefully, Frank'll drop the Ken talk now that their fight is completely off the table and most importantly considering their sick, on his near death-bed laying father...

Not surprised but I am disappointed.  And with the way his career has gone over the last several years, it doesnt quite fit the mold of a typical steroid user.
