One hot Gina Carano GQ picture which some are calling the best one of all-time. “On the surface, it’s like countless other action films starring women: Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire focuses on a beautiful, toughas-nails secret agent who beats the living crap out of the men who get in her way (including Channing Tatum and Michael Fassbender). The difference is that this time the star—Gina Carano, a.k.a. the Face of Women’s MMA—could, in fact, kill you with her foot.” Gina Carano will also be in the January edition of Elle Magazine. Interview: Bullett Magazine – Gina Carano: A Knockout Both In and Out of the Ring
Bullet Magazine’s interview with Gina Carano for the winter 2011 issue: The mixed martial arts champion is a literal knockout who wields her body like a weapon in the cage. Why, then, has Gina Carano stepped outside the ring for her acting debut, as a vengeful covert agent in Steven Soderbergh’s action-thriller Haywire (an explosive cross between La Femme Nikita and The Bourne Identity)? Two words: adrenaline rush. BULLETT: What convinced you to give acting a shot? GINA CARANO: When I was a little girl, I used to think, If somebody only knew what I was capable of. I didn’t even know what it was at the time, but when you dream big, you eventually attract big things. I don’t look “Hollywood,” and so I figured that if something were to come to me, it would probably come from a director asking me to be a part of their project. And that’s exactly what happened, which is really crazy. [Laughs.] You did all of your own stunts for Haywire. Do you think that forced your co-stars—Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, and Channing Tatum—to consider you in a different light?… (credit: sstorm10) CLICK BELOW TO CONTINUE…

Viacom buys Bellator, Will Start Airing on Spike TV in 2013
Viacom bought a majority stake in Bellator. Bellator which is now the #2 MMA brand will soon have shows on the Viacom owned Spike TV in 2013. Spike TV’s current deal with the UFC gives them rights to televise taped UFC programming however they are not allowed to air any other MMA events in 2012. The UFC may not have realized that the danger of doing a deal with FOX was it opened the door for another MMA company to join with Spike TV. The UFC however has been competing with all sorts of MMA brands throughout the years. The UFC enjoys high Pay-Per-View buy rates which is what has make them profitable. Overall some healthy competition should be good for the MMA fighters and the fans.
